What an excellent idea to encourage interest in all countries around the world - especially the small ones which do not receive much attention. Congratulations on your work. Glad to see you included all the Pacific Islands!

Love your global puzzle!!!!!! I have one and it is fabulous.
                                  -Kim Bornac

The puzzle is great! Thank you. It was wonderful for the whole family to complete together. My eight year-old daughter (who completed most of the pieces for the continents) is especially happy.

I have one comment: this is perhaps the nicest puzzle I ever saw.

My father and I couldn't put it down. We stayed up until 4:00 am to finish it.
And we learned so much about the world.

I can’t believe no one came out with this sooner. Its educational value is so huge.

The Global Puzzle is a great motivator. Students who have been apathetic about geography get excited about finishing the geography puzzle. Students have asked me if they can buy it for themselves. This puzzle is also great for all types of learners. I have gifted students and learning disabled students in the same class. Both sets of students are challenged by the puzzle, yet driven by its simplicity. They locate all the countries of the world, while working together.

Thanks so much for providing fun, engaging ways to teach geography.

I decided to have a "race" to see which class can put together their puzzle the fastest (I have two puzzles and two classes). It is a fun competition and the kids get their classwork done so that they have time to work on the puzzles. However, as we both know, they are all winning each day they work on the puzzles. As I listen to them work, it is rewarding to hear them argue and discuss where places are and why. They are learning, without being taught and they are teaching each other while they “play”.

As a middle school teacher, it is easy to fall into the trap of only doing things that are geared towards the state tests, but as a Social Studies teacher, it is my prerogative to utilize all of the available resources to teach students. The Global Puzzle does exactly that. If we can make our students more aware of their world, then they will inevitably be able to understand more of the content in their reading.

I purchased your puzzle last year upon the recommendation of one of my student's parents for our school geography bee. It was an instant hit! It became an "addiction," almost, as the kids wanted to work on it always! I had to limit the numbers of kids working on it to four at a time, and they had to be reminded that we did have other responsibilities that needed to be completed as well! It was up for the better part of our school year, and when it was finally finished, there was a major cheer, and we had to have a group picture around the puzzle. All in all it was truly a wonderful addition to our class. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Are you puzzled about how to differentiate instruction to meet students' needs? Seventh graders at an Iowa Middle School have discovered that "hands on" is not only fun, but it also involves strategy and teamwork. This global puzzle is a high interest activity which enables students to learn through touch.

I broke my 7th grade geography class into teams and challenged them to put the puzzles together. They loved it! The activity engaged even my most "difficult" students. Some of the students doled out pieces and "constructed" the continents. Others grabbed their textbooks to use as a reference! About 1/2 the class was reluctant to leave and worked through lunch.

Thank you for a great educational product!

I used The Global Puzzle with my 4th-5th-6th grade (combined) class--and they loved it! We left the finished map up for many months, and they consulted it often. My students were very disappointed when we finally had to put it away due to space constraints. They certainly learned a lot from it! And in general it increased their awareness of the global map and the countries of the world.

I enjoyed the puzzle every bit as much as my students. I love your puzzle!

The puzzle in the classroom can teach so many lessons. The most recent lesson I used the puzzle for was with a group of first graders at Sherman Elementary school. We are studying schools around the world. What do they look like. etc.etc. We used the puzzle to locate the countries we were reading about. We also wrote letters to two countries( Austria and Germany). They have received the letters and we are waiting to receive letters and pictures from them.

Our third grade class put the world map together last year. They really enjoyed it from January through April.  As we put in Iraq, Iran, etc. the students were excited to see where our principal, Mr. Hechimovich, was to go with the e-mail he had sent of a desert storm.
